Character Conversion from other games Policy

Convergence LARP is a game based on the premise that characters our players create seek adventure and want to explore new worlds and challenges, therefore Convergence LARP allows players from other LARPS a limited ability to transfer and convert their existing characters to our ruleset so that those players can continue to enjoy their characters in a new game.

Individual Conversion

For individual players look to convert a character to Convergence LARP the following rules/requirements apply:

  1. The player must be attending an upcoming event.
  2. The player has one of more characters in the following games, Alliance LARP, Refuge LARP, CARPS, and/or NERO.
  3. The player may convert up to 3 characters total. Those 3 characters can come from any combination of the supported systems.
  4. The player must provide Convergence LARP with the transferring characters’ character card and event attendance logs.

If a player meets these requirements their characters from the respective games are converted as follows:

Alliance LARP

Characters are converted at their total xp 1:1 with Convergence’s exp. No deaths are converted. Characters are capped at a max of 200 exp. No items are converted.

NERO

Characters are converted at half of their total build to a maximum of 200 exp. No deaths are converted. No items are converted.

Refuge LARP

Characters are converted at their total xp 1:1 with Convergence’s exp. No deaths are converted. Characters are capped at a max of 200 exp. No items are converted.

CARPS

Characters are converted at their total CP / 10 to a max of 200 exp. Nothing else is converted.

Chapter/Game Conversion

In addition to individual players transferring characters to Convergence LARP we also welcome whole chapters from other games (or entire game systems) to join our organization. When that happens Convergence LARP will work with the converting group to ensure that we preserve as much of their previous game as possible. This may include a higher exp cap on transferred character (up to a maximum of a 300 exp cap) and the transfer of game items from the original game to the Convergence LARP.

The Convergence LARP reserves the right to prepare a unique agreement for each organization seeking to establish a transfer agreement. There is no guarantee that the terms of a previous transfer agreement will apply to a subsequent transfer, even if the transfers are from the same original game.
